Numerical study and experiments on the elasto-visco-plastic bifurcation buckling of thick anisotropic plates

چکیده

The present work investigates the elasto-visco-plastic buckling of thick plate structures. Methods to estimate thin shells and plates are proposed in literature. To knowledge authors, only few works experimental results, none treat plate. Thick rectangular chosen as a structure interest study buckling. A modelling/experimental approach is followed solve such problem. Buckling experiments at room temperature on subjected compressive load performed. 3D digital image correlation (3D-DIC) used measure displacement fields surface during experiments. also modelled through finite element model. Bodner’s coupled Hencky’s deformation theory predict plates. Bifurcation analysis performed critical stresses strains, modes. Geometrical loading imperfections discussed. good observed between numerical results limitation
